The date you get your benefits every month depends on your birthday and the type of benefits you get. To view the timing for your upcoming and past payments, please visit the Social Security Administration (SSA) website.
With early direct deposit, it means that you may receive your deposit up to 5 business days earlier than your regularly scheduled payment date, however the exact date of your direct deposit depends on when Dave receives your payment file from the government.
Per the Social Security Administration's schedule of Social Security Benefit payments:
If your birth date is on the:
- 1st - 10th of the month, benefits are paid on the Second Wednesday
- 11th - 20th of the month, benefits are paid on the Third Wednesday
- 21st - 31st of the month, benefits are paid on the Fourth Wednesday
If you received Social Security before May 1997 or if you are receiving both Social Security & SSI, then Social Security is paid on the 3rd of the month and SSI on the 1st of the month
Keep in mind that SSI, VA, and SSDI payments are paid by government agencies and we do not have control as to when they are sent.

My SSA said they have sent the payment. What can I do?
If your regular payment date has passed, and it is not due to scheduled delays (such as weekends or holidays), please reach out to the SSA and request a Trace ID for the deposit. With that Trace ID, we can further investigate the deposit.
