When you first join Dave, you'll be able to transfer funds from your external bank account into your Dave Spending account.
Transfer from external bank - You'll be able to Transfer In from your external bank to your Dave Spending account via ACH (up to 5 business days)
Use Apple Pay - To transfer funds into your Dave Spending account using Apple Pay (1% fee)
Cash a check - Add funds by cashing a check in the app
Transfer to external bank - You'll be able to Transfer Out from your Dave Spending to your external bank via ACH (Available 30 days after your first transaction in your Spending account)
Send a check - Send a check to a recipient of your choice (to a person or a business)
Transferring funds from a third-party app - You can also transfer funds from a third-party app by using your Dave Spending routing and account numbers. Just head to the Profile tab and tap Account information.
Wire Transfers - Wire transfers are not accepted into Dave Spending accounts. If you try to wire transfer money, it will not process and will be returned to the account from which it originated.
Here are the steps to transfer money from within the Dave app:
- Go to the Move Money tab
- Tap Add money or Send money
- Verify that From and To is showing correctly
- Add the transfer amount
- Tap Transfer $
To cancel a transfer, visit the pending transactions section. If you are not able to cancel your account, please reach out to our support team!
